Joshua Brinlee received his MFA in Studio Arts from Memphis College of Art in 2012. Since receiving his degree, he has been teaching studio foundation courses at his alma mater and The University of Mississippi. He recently accepted an Assistant Professor Foundations Coordinator position at The University of Mississippi and will begin there full time in the fall of 2014. He currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee and continues to work with digital manipulation and appropriation in his work. His work looks at the ideas of originality, authorship, identity, self, and ownership within the digital age.
